Selective Retreatment

In this case of lower 1st molar

Patient complain about pain on bitting and swelling related to lower 1st molar area

Radiographic examination reveals a periapical lesion related to underfilled distal root

And no lesion related to good filled mesial root

The patient had this RCT in 2021

Usually underfilled root canal related to periapical lesion is also under-prepared that leads to an unclean ( no disinfection) part of the canal

I decided to go for Selective Retreatment of the distal root...

Remember don't leave any GP behind ??
