Depend on 5 diagnostic test to seek information about pulp status

Diagnosis is a crucial step in any treatment plan.

Especially with new patient …... as the first step is building trust.

This patient came to my clinic complaining about sever pain after 1 week of MOD composite done by another colleague.

The sign and symptoms were very characteristic of Acute irreversible pulpitis.

The pulp was so inflamed that I couldn’t stop bleeding after complete shaping…... so I placed Caoh to control bleeding.

The RCT was straight forward ….. nothing special

I always depend on 5 diagnostic test to seek information about pulp status:

1- Periapical Radiograph

2- Vitality test (cold test)

3- Percussion test

4- Biting test

5- Periodontal Examination
